AD508 Advanced Electronic Visualization in Art and Design I, Seminar and Conferences.
[AD508 I]

Studio courses, and cycle of conferences, talks and meetings [local and networked] with media experts, curators, managers, authors, writers and researcher, offered within the graduate curriculum for the School of Art and Design at the University of Illinois at Chicago [UIC], and Electronic Visualization Laboratory [EVL]. The guest shared their experience with the students, speaking about their work, methods, and modus operandi, which enriched the student’s knowledge and information in diverse areas of specialization. In addition, representatives from cultural centers, galleries, and museums were brought into the seminar to give a view of their respective institutions, their opinions about tendencies in the digital sector, and the opportunities that their organizations can provide to artists. The seminar aspired to foster a dynamic and open dialogue exploring conceptual, artists tic, and technological aspects related to art, the Net, society, the electronic media, and current artistic/ technological tendencies seen from various viewpoints.
