E-Art ... Art ... Net ... Society, Rome:
Editori Riuniti, expected publication in 2005 (Book+ DVD),
By Franz Fischnaller
E-Art ... Art..Net ... Society is a special issue within
the e-What? Project - Net-Society-Democracy, designed by
Prof. Giuliano Bianchi, sponsored by the Company Engineering
- Ingegneria Informatica
The book is articulated in four sections
I. Articles and Essays
II. One Man Interview
III. Group Interview [A]
IV. Group Interview [B]
E-Art discusses a type of art based on
the integration of the following disciplines and technologies:
networking, telecommunications, tele-presence, biogenetics,
robotics, virtual reality, electronics, digital media, and
human-networking interfaces. It also investigates the primacy
of intangibility in many new art forms and the different
paths toward creativity, interactivity, e-democracy, ecology,
information, and post-realistic experiences.
E-Art brings together thirty-five eclectic
authors of diverse provenance and specialties-- theoreticians,
writers, artists, journalists, producers, poets, gurus,
visionaries and revolutionaries, as well as professionals
who operate in the scientific, electronic, artistic, cultural,
ecological, industrial and social ambits. Among these authors
are Mauro Annunziato, Kapil Arora, Annette Barbier, Mary
Ann Breeze, Maxine Brown, Drew Browning, Pier Luigi Capucci,
Tomas DeFanti, Sara Diamond, Steve Dietz, Manuel Gallardo,
Petra Gemeinboeck, Eduardo Kac, Jaron Lanier, Jason Leigh,
